Marsha and Mark, Mt. Lebanon
After getting multiple estimates, Pittsburgh’s Best was the only one we trusted to do the job well, with proper engineering review and permitting. Even a year later we love the new space and enjoy it every day. Missy, their designer, worked with us to create a design that’s perfect for us. They left the job clean and tidy every day, and kept dust and dirt to a minimum. We highly recommend considering Pittsburgh’s Best for your project.

Why did you end up choosing Pittsburgh’s Best?
They have lots of good reviews and we liked them. They seemed honest and have proven to be so. Nice and very easy to work with. They really had the most comprehensive design and gave us a lot of confidence that taking out a wall and some of the big changes in the house would be done to spec and also leave our house in the best shape.
Is there anything the designer did to exceed your expectations?
Missy was fantastic. She drew up everything we wanted and more. She helped us to figure things out, like even the subway tile on the back of the kitchen wall which went all the way up to the ceiling which she suggested, I was like ooh I’m not sure. But now, I’m sure. I thought I’m going to trust her and it was perfect, it’s perfect. She was very patient with us with a lot of iterations. We looked at different cabinet fronts and handles all kinds of different configurations for the cabinets. She came back with a really fantastic design. And we have her coming back next week to do another closet. We took out a closet, oh we need that back. She’s going to figure that out for us.
Is there anything the installation crew did to exceed your expectations?
They were very good about clean up. They cleaned up every night. They even asked if there was anything else they could do. They went way above and beyond. Just lovely people. All very nice. We had a great carpenter and project manager was outstanding too. All of the crew on site was really great to hang out with even. They were here a lot. They were here for weeks. We got to know them pretty well. They always asked if we had questions. They would interrupt, which was great, I was here and more than happy to tweak things even more to my liking.
What would you tell someone who is considering hiring Pittsburgh’s Best?
Well, we actually did recommend them to our neighbor who used them for their bathroom. We may end up doing the same thing. Eventually down the road. They were great, I would not hesitate at all to recommend them. I would say you could be confident in their work, the quality, and the people that are going to come in to your house. Everything exceeded our expectations. When I first walked into this house, I thought these walls have to go. We lived with it the way it was and when we finally got to it, it’s just perfect. I couldn’t have expected it to look better. Our family, our son and daughter come back and oh this is just perfect. We’re very happy. They get a 10 out of 10. It’s what we always wanted.
