Overcoming Design Challenges

Like many remodels, this project required balancing style, functionality, and cohesion with the rest of the home. Bonnie wanted her new bathroom to complement her kitchen, which meant carefully selecting finishes that would tie the spaces together.

The solution came through intentional material choices. A white shaker cabinet vanity was selected to match the kitchen cabinetry, while a quartzite countertop with soft grey, blue, and white veining mirrored the kitchen surfaces. Coordinating the warm, light wood-stained luxury vinyl flooring with the existing kitchen floor helped create a seamless flow between spaces.

Additional design elements elevated the bathroom further, including glossy 3×12 grey tile on the shower walls, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, and a custom clear glass shower enclosure. Each decision required precision and attention to detail to ensure everything worked together harmoniously.

A Stunning Final Outcome

The finished result is a beautifully upgraded master bathroom that combines luxury with everyday comfort. The centerpiece—a large walk-in shower with a glass enclosure, built-in bench, and custom tile surround—creates a spa-like experience while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.

Bonnie described the experience as seamless, noting the team’s dedication to exceptional workmanship.  

She shares, “They all really took pride in what they did. If something wasn’t perfect, they would – I don’t want to say redo it – they didn’t really redo anything. They just took pride in their work.”
